Elementary ministry at Christ Journey is packed with fun and creativity. Highway is our weekly environment where the Bible comes alive and is made personal for children. The focus is on creating a small group environment where they will learn three core essentials:
- I need to make the wise choice.
- I can trust God no matter what.
- I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
And because our goal is to partner with parents, once a month we offer an environment called FamJamz. This is where kids and parents learn together in a 45-minute creative show that uses video, drama and music to communicate God’s truth in relevant ways.

First time here?
We use music, drama, videos and storytelling to engage kids in a large group setting, while creative small group activities like games, special projects, arts and crafts, give them time to share their individual thoughts and questions with a welcoming and dedicated leader.
Every month, we emphasize a character virtue to help kids (and parents) develop their unique personalities under positive influences.
Have you checked out FamJamz yet? This is our monthly environment where kids and parents learn together in a 45-minute creative show that uses video, drama and music to communicate God’s truth in relevant ways.
This month, we learned about the virtue of Friendship. If you missed it, check out the video!

Serve With Us
Perhaps no other act reflects the character of Jesus Christ more than serving people. Serving and giving provides us with opportunities to leverage our talents, giftedness and resources to meet the needs of others.
We have opportunities for you to serve in Elementary ministry. Watch the video to the right or sign up to serve below.
Check In / Safety
Your child’s safety matters to us. As with other environments at Christ Journey Church, carefully-screened, loving, and well-trained leaders share Jesus and build relationships with children and their families.
When you first arrive at any one of our campuses, stop by the Check-In Kiosk and register your child to attend Highway or FamJamz. If you need assistance, our Kiosk volunteers will be glad to walk you through the process.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us by filling out the form at the bottom of the page. We’ll be glad to assist you!
We start the month with something Jesus said in Psalm 24:1, we read, The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, (NIV). In other words, whatever we have isn’t really ours. God created the entire world—the land and sea, planets and galaxies, animals and people. And when people create, those people do so because of the gift and talents that God gave them. It’s our job to take care of what God has loaned us for a time to use in order to bring Him glory.
Jesus put stewardship into action. He used the time He had on earth wisely, never wasting a moment, but always working towards God’s plan. He used what He had—from bread and fish, to dirt and spit—to perform miracles, helping people see and eat. Everything Jesus did showed us how we can take care of God’s stuff by using it the way that points people to God and fulfills the mission God has for our lives.
Bottom Line: Live like you know what really matters. The world is filled with voices telling us what should be important—money, power, fame, and personal glory. But what God wants for us is different. When we live our life for only things that matter on earth, they’ll end up fading away and being destroyed. Instead, we pray kids will learn to make choices about their life that will matter for eternity.
